The Role:

We are looking for a Graduate/Junior Mechanical Engineer to join the Engineering team. This is a permanent full-time position based at the Genomtec offices in Wroclaw.

The Engineering team is responsible for overseeing the development of instruments that can perform the assays as developed by our in-house biology team.

The successful candidate will initially be required to focus on the optimisation and development of microfluidic modules. To be successful in this aspect of the role the candidate will need to be able to design and conduct tests in conjunction with the biology team to determine product performance and then, based on the test results/observations, provide input into changes to further improve the designs.

Over time the role will widen into involvement in all mechanical aspects of product improvement and new product design, such as thermals, mechanism design, regulatory, etc.

The candidate will report to the Senior Systems Engineer.

 

The Candidate:

BSc/MSc Mechanical Engineering

Strength in Fluidics Engineering would be desirable

Bio-Med experience would be desirable

3D CAD experience, ideally SolidWorks

Some basic programming skills (Python, etc)

Good English speaking and writing ability
