As an engineering intern within the Cyber department, you could be working on a wide range of exciting projects – what you work on will depend on your team, but wherever you are, you’ll be playing a role in developing technology that supports over 200,000 people and 40 million customers around the world.
During your time with us, you could be working with teams who use emerging tech, like AI and quantum computing, giving you an insight into how these technologies are reshaping cybersecurity.
Teams you could join as an intern include:
- Offensive Security – find and fix vulnerabilities using offensive and defensive techniques like penetration testing and threat modelling.
- Vulnerability Management – assess and report cybersecurity risks, helping us stay one step ahead.
- Cryptography – protect data and secure online communications through encryption.
- Data Security – work across everything from network security to risk reviews and consultancy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Our Engineering team is leading the bank’s digital transformation, ensuring that our global operations run on secure, efficient, and cutting-edge technology. By maintaining and optimising our technological infrastructure, the team helps drive HSBC’s continued innovation, enhancing both our internal systems and the services we provide to millions of customers worldwide.
