Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology
My experience...
I am a graduate of the Faculty of Computer Science and Management at Wroclaw University of Technology, where I obtained a master’s degree in Computer Science.
After completing my studies, I started working at InsERT S.A., which is currently a leader in software for the SME (small and medium-sized enterprises) market. Along with the team, we developed software for sales management – Subiekt GT, Sprint, nexo. I am proud that I managed to implement the idea of opening up the software’s GT line through an API, which led to the creation of the entire ecosystem of extensions.
Currently, I serve as an investment advisor, where I strive to leverage my professional experience. My main areas of focus include information technology, innovations, and modern solutions for businesses, among others. I also make an effort to share my knowledge and experience with others.
I`m a Mentor because...
Currently, I am at a point in my professional life when I believe it is worth sharing the knowledge and experience I have acquired. As Jack Ma, CEO of Alibaba Group, expressed at the conference, describing what to pay attention to and what to focus on at the right age.
I believe that transferring knowledge accumulated over the years is a valuable endeavor. Personally, I have discovered that sharing knowledge not only brings me joy, but also gives me great personal satisfaction. At this point in my career, I see the benefits of mentoring for both the person I support and myself. This is a kind of win-win strategy exercise.
Mentoring is not only about providing information, but also about building a relationship based on trust and mutual respect. It often turns out that both parties benefit from such a relationship – the mentor evolves by learning new perspectives, and the mentee gains valuable insights and support.
I have a Mentee to offer...
I can offer my time and experience in the IT industry, especially when it comes to creating software from scratch as a proprietary product.
I started from the very beginning, writing the first lines of code as a programmer, and then transitioning to the role of a team lead in a software development team. But that’s not all – I also had the opportunity to recruit for such teams and engage in various aspects of project and later product management.
Throughout my career, I worked on applications, collaborating with a UI/UX designer at a time when these matters were not yet popular in Poland.
I had direct contact with users of my applications, presented solutions, and trained companies from our partner network.
My idea of a relationship with Mentee is...
Meetings, exchange of ideas, and collaboration.
I especially appreciate...
Honesty and openness.

I`m a Mentor because...
I will be happy to talk with students about their career path and to know their point of view on imporant topics, like situation on the labor market. I would like to give some insights about the daily work of a product design engineer.
I have a Mentee to offer...
- career consultations

For more details, see my LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/marekgolabek/
I`m a Mentor because...
Personal development and active career planning are my passion.
While working for Bosch, I collaborated with many students and graduates, offering support in their onboarding and initial projects. It was a great opportunity for us to exchange experiences, grow together, and build fantastic relationships.
I have a Mentee to offer...
I’m willing to share my personal experiences from my student days and the early stages of my career. I’ll answer questions about the job market, the Automotive and Consumer Goods industries, technical aspects of mechanical engineering (design), and project management.
We can also discuss topics related to your strengths, motivation, personality styles, future career plans, and the search for internships and jobs.
My idea of a relationship with Mentee is...
During video conferences, we will focus on topics that interest you. I will also ask you important questions that I would like you to answer for yourself so that, at the end of our meetings, you can define your own career goal.

My experience...
After graduating from Chemistry Department I moved to the United Kingdom to pursue a PhD in the field of Tribology.
I work in a broad “oil and gas” area, at different angles and with different products over the years.
Apart from the United Kingdom, I also lived in Austria, and tor the last 5 years I’ve been living in Italy.
I have experience from large international companies (Ford, Petronas, Valvoline), in different technical roles.
More details can be found in my LinkedIn profile.
I`m a Mentor because...
During my University years I did not have access to a mentoring program, but I slowly figured out on my own what my priorities are and what I should focus on.
I would like to help mentees to find their own place and define career path, which will allow achieving their professional and personal goals.
I believe that “success” is a relative term and everyone can achieve it regardless of their exam scores! I would also like to make mentees aware that top grades are not enough if they are missing interpersonal/soft skills 🙂
I have a Mentee to offer...
I would like to share my professional and personal experience from almost 15 years of living abroad.
I would be happy to help in preparation for job interviews and writing resume, both in Polish and English.
I really encourage junior students to gain relevant work experience and skills during their University years.

Faculty of Information and Communication Technology
My experience...
In my career to date, I have had the opportunity to learn the workings of many industries and environments, from investment banks through corporations to small software companies and start-ups.
Before starting my own company, I was involved in designing and implementing solutions based on the AWS cloud. I also implemented best practices related to DevOps methodology. I have been working with PWr for the Konferencja Projektów Zespołowych (KPZ) for the past few years.
Since January 2022, I have been running my company providing solutions using Salesforce technology.
I`m a Mentor because...
On my educational path, I did not come across anyone who shared his experience and knowledge of the IT market. I would have avoided some mistakes then, and my professional career would have gained momentum much earlier.
I want to share my experience with talented young people who may feel lost when they see job offers for a junior position requiring, for example, 2 years of commercial experience, knowledge of 2 frameworks, and the ability to use a whole set of project management tools.
I’m happy to use my network of contacts to promote talented people and to point them to places that will allow them to spread their wings even further.
I have a Mentee to offer...
- Experience from more than 8 years as a systems administrator / DevOps engineer and from running my own company.
- Network of contacts – if I can’t help with a topic, I’ll find someone knowledgeable to help.
- Guidance on current IT trends and technology news.
- A safe space to talk and exchange views on any topic.
My idea of a relationship with Mentee is...
Regular meetings and discussions on topics selected by Mantee. The rest is to be determined.
I especially appreciate...
Openness, honesty and commitment.

My experience...
I had started my work experience in 2001 in Danfoss (in Wroclaw). As a Production engineer, I had an option to understand all the productions processes as well as logistics, finance and marketing. I used to work on new products and developed new versions of the hydraulic items.
In 2005 I moved to the Republic of Ireland where worked on the CNC machines and later on as Project Manager in MedicalDevices companies. It brought me huge experience around Medical Devices world as well as Pharmaceuticals. As PM I introduced new products, new IT systems and run required testing for medical devices.
In 2015 I moved back to Poland and straight to IBM (now KYNDRYL), since September 2015 I received deep knowledge about IT around the Electronic, Medical, Automobile, Tele Communication as well as Banking industries – all related to hardware, software as well as cloud
I`m a Mentor because...
I would like to share the knowledge as well as the experience I got over the past number of years.
I have a Mentee to offer...
- the way to build a strategy for the future using the experience and nowadays possibilities
- time
My idea of a relationship with Mentee is...
strict and set with the rules
We will set the rules during the first online session. It is important to agree on a frequency that will be at least bi-weekly. However, it is subject to agreement.
The session will be held with the information prepared by myself for students to best fit to him/her.
We will use online tools for communications like WEBEX and calendar based on MS Office or google platform – all depends on available tools.
I especially appreciate...

I like to help you avoid mistakes I made and show you that there is a plethora of different opportunities in the IT sector. As I’m an experienced technical recruiter I like people to succeed in their interviews.
I have a Mentee to offer...
Some insight into various roles in IT, experience with stringent deadlines approaching fast and an opinion that work as a developer can be both fun and rewarding.
My idea of a relationship with Mentee is...
Regular meetings with various degrees of tech work. We can do a coding project together, discuss career paths or prepare for an interview. Or just talk about random IT stuff.
I especially appreciate...

My idea of a relationship with Mentee is...
Plan for 12 weeks:
1. Pick up the functionality to code, it may be related to other classes task, it’s part or entire project.
It may be also something new, like TensorFlow or Caffe based application implementing pictures recognition. It’s not the most importand in this excersize. Complexity shouldn’t exceed a week to code.
2. Pick up the the programming langueage with justification of the choice. („I know only this one” is not enough reason 😊 )
3. Agree requirements with the client (I’m the client)
4. Costs and time estimation.
5. Risks analysis and fail consequences analisys.
6. Setup version control reposytory (ex. Git)
7. Setup bug tracking system (ex. Bugzilla)
8. Setup automates tests framework (ex. Jenkins)
9. Documentation for the client.
10. DEMO version delivery (Alpha).
11. Requiremenst verification with the client, costs and time re-estimation.
12. Beta version delivery.
13. Final product delivery.
