Shape how AI builds better tests

How do you guide AI to create tests that catch meaningful problems, follow sound engineering practices and stay reliable as software changes?

I’m looking for a curious, practical engineer who wants to explore that question through real project work.

You’ll work with AI coding agents in Claude, Cursor and GitHub Copilot to tackle test automation challenges across TypeScript projects—from unit tests and end-to-end testing with Playwright to load testing with k6 and accessibility checks. You’ll guide agents, shape their instructions and context, evaluate their output and refine the rules that help them produce reliable, maintainable tests.

The role centres on guiding AI: providing context, defining rules, reviewing results and improving the workflows that turn generated code into dependable test automation.

Who you’ll work with

You’ll collaborate directly with an independent QA Lead and software engineer working on test automation, AI-assisted development and engineering tools.

This is a small setup with close technical collaboration, direct feedback and room to influence how things are built. You’ll get hands-on guidance while gradually taking ownership of changes, pull requests and automation workflows.

What you’ll do

  • Guide AI agents in creating, extending and maintaining automated UI and API tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Translate requirements and expected behaviour into clear instructions, testing rules and acceptance criteria for AI.
  • Review generated tests for meaningful assertions, appropriate coverage, maintainability and reliability.
  • Build and refine repository instructions, reusable skills, context and quality checks that improve agent performance.
  • Develop agentic workflows for repository and app exploration, test generation, execution, failure analysis and repair.
  • Apply AI-assisted workflows to performance testing with k6 and accessibility testing.
  • Investigate test failures and guide AI through debugging, validating fixes and reducing flakiness.
  • Prepare and review GitHub pull requests, work with JIRA tasks and help integrate automated checks into CI pipelines.
  • Experiment with new approaches and evaluate whether they improve test quality and engineering efficiency.

What we’re looking for

  • Practical experience using AI in development—personal, university and commercial work all count.
  • An understanding of programming fundamentals and the ability to read, assess and debug generated code.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript, or a solid foundation in another language and willingness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of web applications, HTTP and APIs.
  • Curiosity about how agents, tools, instructions and context work together.
  • A thoughtful approach to checking results, investigating problems and following tasks through to completion.
  • English that allows you to read technical documentation and discuss technical work.

Previous commercial experience is not required. We value clear thinking, practical experimentation and the ability to explain your decisions.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with GitHub pull requests and JIRA is highly appreciated.
  • Some knowledge of CI pipelines, automated checks and test reporting.
  • Experience with Playwright or another test automation framework.
  • Familiarity with k6, performance testing or accessibility tools.
  • Experience configuring AI coding agents, repository instructions, reusable skills or tool integrations.

What you can expect

  • 13,500 PLN net + VAT per month on B2B—the invoice amount before your own taxes and contributions.
  • Direct mentoring and regular technical feedback from an experienced QA Lead.
  • Practical experience combining test automation, software engineering and AI.
  • A nice co-working office space in the center of Wrocław, with close, on-site collaboration.
  • Work equipment and access to the tools needed for the role.
  • Increasing ownership as your skills and confidence grow.

How to apply

Apply through the portal with your CV.

Include a short description of how you use AI in your development work: which tools you use, what you use them for and how you check the results.
