The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical, research-oriented Data Science & NLP Intern to extract high-value insights from unstructured text data. This role sits at the critical intersection of experimental data science and traditional Natural Language Processing. You will be tasked with data preparation, pattern analysis, and developing custom machine learning pipelines that drive strategic business decisions.

Core Responsibilities:

• Data Preprocessing & Cleaning: Architect robust pipelines to clean, tokenize, normalize, and label unstructured text datasets for model training.

• NLP Model Development: Implement and evaluate core NLP models for high-stakes tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER), sentiment analysis, and text classification.

• Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA): Uncover hidden patterns and trends in textual data to support and guide strategic business decisions.

• Literature Research: Investigate academic literature and state-of-the-art NLP techniques to propose creative, scalable solutions for complex business problems.

• Collaborative Experimentation: Assist in running A/B tests to validate model accuracy and performance against real-world data.

Candidate Profile

• Education: Currently pursuing or a recent graduate (BSc or MSc) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field.

• Eligibility (Choose One):

• • International Track: You are eligible to apply for and receive the Erasmus+ Traineeship grant from your university.

  • Domestic Track: You are a student or recent graduate of a Polish university applying for a 3-month intensive practical placement (praktyki studenckie / praktyki absolwenckie).

• Languages: Excellent command of English (C1 level), both written and spoken.

• Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in Python and data libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn). Familiarity with NLP frameworks (NLTK, Spacy, or BERT-based Transformers). Solid understanding of statistical analysis, data mining, and evaluation metrics (F1-score, Precision, Recall).
