Our Group Cybersecurity Office (GCSO) is responsible for monitoring and coordinating the group wide efforts on Cybersecurity. The main focus is to reduce the risk and likelihood of intrusions and data breaches and therefore enhancing the overall confidentiality, availability and integrity of data for patients, customers and employees.

👨‍💻 Your daily tasks include:

  • Initial Incident Response: Conduct preliminary investigations, assess alerts, and escalate incidents as needed
  • Escalating security incidents to 2nd and 3rd levels and coordinating activities until the Security Incident is resolved
  • Serving as the 1st level contact via email and ticket-based applications for all security-related inquiries and questions directed to the group CERT (Cybersecurity Emergency Response Team)
  • Identifying and evaluating security incidents (e.g. phishing attempts, malware analysis)
  • Classifying and evaluating identified security incidents based on the defined Cybersecurity Incident Response Plan
  • Utilizing various security operation tools such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), ticketing systems, and Security Orchestration and Automation (SOAR)
  • Actively and regularly monitoring notable security events within the Fresenius IT environment
  • Assuming the following process roles within the defined processes: (Change Owner, Configuration Manager, Incident Resolver / Support Employee, Knowledge Contributor, Problem Owner, Request Fulfiller)

  • Basic knowledge of the network environment

  • Knowledge of German language will be a plus
