Job title
Vulnerability Analyst/Security Risk Analyst for one of our Canadian clients in the finance sector.

Our offer

Hybrid work: remote with regular in-person office meetings in Warsaw (1 x a week/ 1 x a month, depending on candidate’s location)
Later working hours (12-8pm, given the adjustment to EST timezone)

Conract type: B2B

Rate: 17-22USD/hour, paid either in USD or CAD

Job Responsibilities
The Vulnerability Analyst is responsible for identifying and assessing enterprise risks based on threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigating factors. The incumbent will be primarily responsible for defining, identifying, and classifying the security vulnerabilities in a computer, network, or communications infrastructure.

On a typical day, a Vulnerability Analyst:
•Identifies flaws and weaknesses in information systems that may be exploited to impact the confidentiality, integrity and availability of a system.
•Detects threats and vulnerabilities in target systems, networks, and applications by conducting systems, network and web vulnerability scanning.
•Works closely with vendors and server management teams to assign priority and approval to patch management.
•Develops third party application security bulletins and notifications with recommendations to improve the security posture.
•Provides weekly metric and current status on vulnerabilities and countermeasure recommendations
•Assists in managing Information Security ticket queue and assigns tickets accordingly.
•Directs and/or performs specific duties or assignments as requested by Manager.
•Develops reports related to vulnerabilities in a common dashboard that is easily understood.
•Provides reports on patch scheduling and compliance using SCCM

Minimum Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Network Security or similar Technology discipline or equivalent amount of education and/or work experience along with knowledge of security management, investigation techniques and concepts.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in information technology, related to operations, incident response, service management, or issue investigations, along with prior experience with vulnerability assessment tools is desired.
•Knowledge of vulnerability management and security patching is desired.
•Familiarity with security standards and frameworks
•Ability to work independently and execute multiple tasks in a fast pace environment.
•Hands on experience with formal writing, documentation and presentation with the use of Microsoft Office products is required.
•Excellent oral and written communications skills
•Must have proven skills in technical issue resolution.
•Must have excellent analytical, investigations, and problem solving skills.
•Experience with Service Now and PowerBI
•Experience with risk management and processes
