Job Purpose:
You will take the lead as a Junior Project Engineer as part of the capital projects team. You will be responsible for completing capital investment projects, from initial concept to execution and review. It is important that the process used to manage capital projects follows best practices and is fully understood by all relevant stakeholders. Your role will also involve providing administrative support to the Capital Projects Managers & Engineers and gathering, analyzing, and reporting project information.
- Lead low-investment capital projects from concept (scope, benefits, justification) through completion to ensure that projects are successfully delivered;
- Ensure the successful handover of projects to the owner with all necessary documentation in place;
- Manage capex process documentation on site;
- Health & Safety process adhered to;
- Preparation of detailed project installation and commissioning schedules;
- Supporting the Project Manager to deliver the overall site capex agenda;
- Tracking, building, and managing project files for all “live” projects.;
- Raise purchase orders, control finances against each project, schedule meetings, and carry out day-to-day administrative tasks;
- Arrange business travel and shipment for suppliers, manage team invoices;
- A good team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to deliver results;
- Highly motivated and self-sufficient, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm;
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills;
- Ideally degree-qualified in an Engineering discipline;
- Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD), MS Power Point, MS Excel;
- Good planning and organisational skills with a great eye for detail;
- Willingness to learn;
